How can I contact you?

You can contact the Arlington traffic ticket attorneys of Jack Byno & Associates by telephone, coming by our office of completing our Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

Can I represent myself in Court?

Yes you can represent yourself in Court.  Some of the benefits of retaining our office to represent you are that we have over 20 years experience fighting traffic cases in the Arlington Municipal Court, have a vast knowledge of traffic law, and if we plea your case, in most situations, you would not have to appear in Court.  If you would like to hire our office please complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

Do I have to come in to your office?

You do not have to come in to our office to hire us.  We can take all required information over the telephone or you can complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

What happens if I hire you to plea my case?

When you hire our office to represent you we will contact the Court and request that we be listed as your Attorney.  The court will set you case for a hearing date.  An Attorney from our firm will appear on your behalf and PLEA your case to the best available outcome.  After we work out a PLEA we will notify you via US mail of the outcome of your case.  You will be responsible for following all written and verbal instructions given to you by our office.  For representation by our office please complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

Do I have to appear in Court?

The Arlington Municipal Court does not normally require you to appear if you have retained an Attorney to represent you to PLEA your case. If the Judge requires your presence in Court we will notify you via US mail.  If you would like an Attorney from our firm to represent you in Court complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

If retained our office to represent you at a TRIAL you would be required to appear and possibly testify on your own behalf.

What else do I have to pay?

The fee that you pay the Attorney to represent you does not include any Court costs. If you are granted deferred adjudication (probation) by the court then you will be required to pay a fee. After your case has been plead we will notify you via US mail of the outcome.  The letter we mail you will include any fees and special instructions or requirements regarding your case.  You must follow all written and verbal instructions given to you by our office.  If you would like our office to represent your in Court complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

Will this ticket go on my driving record?

Our main goal in your case is to keep your ticket off your driving record.  We will use our 20 years of experience working in the Arlington Municipal Court to fight to keep your record clean.  When defendants are granted deferred adjudication (probation) there is typically a fee to pay.  If you are granted probation and follow all the instructions given to you by our office then your ticket will not be reported to the Texas Department of Public Safety.  If you would like to retain our office complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

If I let my insurance lapse, can you help me?

Texas State Law requires all drivers to carry minimum liability insurance.  If you are convicted of a "no insurance" ticket you may have to pay State Surcharges.  It is not usual for "no insurance" tickets to be dismissed if you did not have the required minimum liability coverage at the time and date of the violation.  If you have proof that you have current insurance we will present you proof to the Court and work to keep the charge from being a conviction on your driving record.  If you would like our office to represent you on your insurance violation complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

How will you notify me of the outcome?

After our office works out a plea deal on your behalf we will mail you notice via US mail of the outcome.  If you have any questions regarding your case you may call us during our business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:30-4:30, and we will assist you.  We ask that when you call you have the letter we mailed you available so that we are looking at the same thing.  If your address changes you must notify our office immediately so that we can update you file.

Can my warrant be lifted?

Our office is able to lift Alias warrants in the Arlington Municipal Court.  An Alias warrant means that you have not entered into a plea agreement of payment plan with the Court.  When we are retained we will mail your appearance bonds to the Court to have your warrants lifted.  It is important to know that your warrants will be active until the Judge approves the appearance bonds.  After your warrants are lifted the Court will set your case for the Attorney to appear on your behalf.  If you would like to retain our office to post appearance bonds and lift your warrants complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

How long will it take to lift my warrant?

When we are retained we will mail appearance bonds to the Arlington Municipal Court to lift you warrants.  Once the Judge approves the appearance bonds your warrants will be lifted.  If you would like to hire our office to post appearance bonds on your behalf complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.

Will I have to take a Driving Safety Course?

Current Texas State Law requires any driver who was under 25 years old and received a traffic ticket for a moving violation to complete a Driving Safety Course (DSC) as a condition of their deferred adjudication (probation).  The Judge may also require you to complete a DSC depending on the facts of your case.  For instance if you were speeding excessively, involved in an accident or have numerous convictions on your driving record you may be required to complete a DSC.  When our office notifies you of the outcome of your case we will include an specific requirements for your individual case.  If you would like our office to represent you in Court complete a Traffic Ticket Contact Form.
