ARLINGTON DWI & DUI DEFENSE ATTORNEY

arlington dwi & dui defense attorney

Have you been convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) in the City of Arlington? If so, you are well-aware that the penalties of DWI, often referred to as drunk driving, are serious and can encompass driver's license suspension, high State surcharges, and even arrest. At the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, we understand the severity of DWI and DUI (Driving Under the Influence), and the consequences associated with them. Since 1994, our criminal defense lawyers have been retained to represent clients with DWI and DUI charges in the County Criminal Court, so rest assured that we hold the experience and expertise required to post bonds, get warrants lifted, and secure jail release on behalf of our clients. If you would like more information on Arlington DWI and DUI, please take a moment to complete our DWI Contact Form.

Arlington DWI May Lead to DL Suspension

Perhaps you are up against an Administrative License Revocation (ALR). ALR can result when a driver suspected of drunk driving fails or refuses to take a breath test administered to them by an Arlington police officer. While ALR suspension as a result of Arlington DWI is a serious development, you are not necessarily out of reach of legal defense provided by Jack Byno & Associates. You may choose to retain our law firm to defend against the suspension of your driver's license, or even to seek an Occupational Driver's License (ODL) on your behalf, if your DL has already been suspended. If granted to you, an ODL would serve as a temporary driver's license for the duration of your DL suspension.

In the case that you have previously been convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) in Arlington, and are convicted once again, the penalties may be more severe than before. For example, if you are up against your second DWI conviction, your driver's license may be suspended for up to two years. However, depending on your particular case, DL suspension may not be in order for you if this is your first DWI conviction. Even so, it may still behoove you to retain the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno, as we may be able to provide you with the defense you need to protect your DL and driving record. For more information, please fill out our DL Suspension Contact Form.

Penalties Associated with Arlington DWI

Be aware that penalties associated with Arlington DWI and DUI convictions are serious and are not limited to arrest, raised car insurance premiums, and State Surcharges adding up to $1,000 for three years. Drivers who fail to pay their due State Surcharges may also be subjected to DL suspension and even incarceration. Still, our DWI defense attorneys may be hired to defend against these penalties in court.

In contrast to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Driving Under the Influence (DUI) is a lesser charge and results when drivers decide to take to the roads with incapacitating amounts of alcohol in their systems. DUI may also be in order for minors who choose to drink and drive. Jack Byno & Associates have been defending against the repercussions of Arlington DUI since 1994, so rest assured that we would do our very best to defend against your conviction if you have decided that your case requires sound legal representation.

Other Penalties for Arlington DWI
If you have been convicted of Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) in the City of Arlington, the penalties you may be up against may differ depending upon whether or not it is your first traffic conviction. The County Criminal Court may also take into consideration other details before deciding upon disciplinary measures, such as whether you had open containers in your car at the time of your DWI, if you caused a wreck while drunk driving, and any fatalities or injuries that resulted. For additional information on Arlington DWI and DUI and how the Law Office of Attorney Jack Byno may be able to defend against a conviction on your driving record, please complete our DWI Contact Form or give our law office a call at 817-685-0912.
